The Bauer Supreme S29 Intermediate chest protector features new, lightweight HD shoulder floaters in an improved shape, while keeping the popular Bauer Supreme silhouette. The use of updated HD foam creates a lightweight shoulder floater, while maintaining great protection. An updated shoulder floater shape, which is slightly smaller and more tapered than what was on previous models, allows for heightened mobility without sacrificing coverage.

At the time most goalies start to move into Intermediate-sized gear, the shots typically start to get harder. The Supreme S29 Intermediate chest protector brings down many pro-level features in key areas to provide excellent protection. The arms of the Supreme S29 Intermediate utilize HD foam in the arm floaters, along with PORON XRD foam on the elbows. PORON XRD is one of Bauer's proprietary materials, and is impact-absorbing by the way of hardening on impact. Throughout the Sternum, Vent Armour foam is used, which provides pro-level protection and breathability. Below the yellow Vent Armour foam seen on the sternum, the rib area of the Supreme S29 Int features lightweight molded foam, which is paired with comfort edge rib protection on the sides for optimal comfort and protection.

The liner of the Supreme S29 Intermediate uses Bauer's moisture-wicking Thermo-Max liner. This material keeps the chest protector cool, fresh, and dry throughout it's lifespan.
